Renault Megane RenaultSport 250 to be launched in the UK in November

French auto maker Renault, has announced that the fire-breathing Megane RenaultSport 250 will be officially launched in the UK this November. The RenaultSport 250 is motivated by a 2.0 liter powerplant (with twin scroll turbo) that can deliver 250HP at 5,500 revs and 340Nm of torque at 3,000 revs (up to 80% available from 1,900 revs). The powerhouse is linked to a 6 speed manual transmission. Exterior features include, a Formula 1-insipired front bumper blade, extended wheel arches, extended tailgate spoiler, centrally-positioned exhaust tailpipe and LED daytime running lights.

Inside, you would be surrounded by an automatic dual-zone climate control, a hands-free card with automatic door locking as the card-holder walks away from the vehicle, 3D Sound by Arkamys, navigation system (Carminat Bluetooth DVD or Carminat TomTom), height-adjustable front seats with additional lateral support (or optional Recaro seats), aluminium pedal covers, new fascia design incorporating analogue instruments and more.

There is also a Renaultsport Monitor that displays things like real-time engine performance, gearchange warning, lateral acceleration, lap times and more on via a screen that is centrally-mounted on the dashboard. Potential customers can choose between two chassis settings including a standard Sport chassis and a stiffer Cup chassis with a limited slip differential. The Renaultsport 250 also features a ‘PerfoHub’ design, which is an independent steering axis front suspension configuration that separates the suspension and steering functions to help improve handling and traction.

To allow the driver to enjoy the 250 at different levels, the auto maker has added the Renaultsport Dynamic Management, which is an Electronic Skid Control system with three setting such as On, Sport and Off which gives the driver full control. Continue reading to view an image gallery.
