The Jetta sedan and SportWagen offers four different engines, a 115-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas (sedan), a gas of 2.5 liter five-cylinder and generating 170 horsepower, a 140-hp 2.0L TDI clean diesel four-cylinder engine for those seeking maximum fuel economy, and a 200-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinders in the GLI. Buyers who go to any gas engine can choose from a five-speed manual transmission or six-speed Tiptronic automatic, while the TDI and GLI buyers choose from a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic six-speed DSG with Tiptronic.
